2025 Clinic changes – new beginnings
To all my clients past and present in Stoke Newington
I am excited to announce that as from this week, I will be working on Tuesdays at
Shine on the Green
and will continue to offer acupuncture and tapping to you all.
I have worked for nearly 30 years on Stoke Newington Church Street, first at Clissold Park Natural Health Centre (then opposite the Vortex jazz club for those of you who go back that far!) and then at Shine Holistic, soon after it opened. Many of the practitioners who I originally worked with, also migrated down the road to Shine.
I first met Carla Octigan when I used to have my haircut with her at Organics in West Hampstead, close to where I lived. Having found such an amazing stylist, I followed her to Crouch End where she worked at a sister salon. It was here more than two decades ago, that I remember her starting to talk about her vision of opening a one-stop shop – hair salon, beauty and health clinic. As well as being a stylist, she had also studied Shiatsu (like me) and wanted to create a space where clients could have all their ‘wellbeing’ needs met in one location.
I have been proud to be part of the wonderful Shine team for all these years. I cannot think of a more supportive work environment. The pandemic was a huge challenge for Shine and all the people working there. The management bent over backwards to enable those of us practitioners who were able to continue working, to provide a safe working environment, offering flexible times to accommodate us.
Flexibility is a key to business success – and Shine are moving with the times and making changes that will continue to enable the team to keep working and offering all our services.
Shine on the Green is a wonderfully airy, stylish space and best of all, it is all one level, so no more having to climb up to the top of the building to get to see me!
Let’s all embrace change and move forward together.
I look forward to continue to support you in the coming year.
Marian
